IPL 2022: The Star Sports has set a sales target of Rs 4000 crore from IPL 2022, broadcasting company Star Sports is targeting a new benchmark for advertising revenue for the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).

The Broadcaster Ad from IPL 2021:-

The official IPL live broadcaster earned Rs 3200 crore as advertising revenue from IPL 2021.

According to InsideSport’s own sources from Disney Star Network, a magic target of Rs 4,000 crore has been set for the advertising revenue of IPL this year.

The official broadcaster has also increased the rates for IPL on-air sponsorship by 20%. According to the information received, Star Sports has already tied up with 10-12 advertisers for the 15th season.

The Signed Up Sponsors at Inflated Rates:-

The belief about Disney Star is delivering the product on all parameters. The advertiser ignores top dollar for such a consistently performing asset. Rates have increased and so will the revenue.

A key member of the Disney Star Network sales team told that the ad sales of Rs 4000 crore now look like a reality.

Following sources from Disney Star Network, the broadcaster has signed on 10 sponsors (at increased rates).

The Star Sports Network has already tied up with Cred, Dream11, Byju’s, Tata, Asian Paints, Spotify, Meesho, Swiggy Instamart, Kamala Pasand, and Pepsi.

On-Air Sponsorship Rate for IPL 2022:-

It is pertinent to note that Star Sports has increased the rate of sponsorship packages and inventory rates by about 20% as compared to IPL 2021.

Thereafter, the co-presenting partners (160 crores) and associate sponsors (90 crores) will have to pay a hefty amount.

In IPL 2021, the same packages were sealed in the range of 130-140 crores and 60-65 crores respectively.
