Jaydev Unadkat Replaces Injured Shami in India’s Test Squad in Bangladesh
IND vs BAN 3rd ODI 2022: Jaydev Unadkat has been called into India’s Test squad in Bangladesh in Replaces of the injured Mohammed Shami. Unadkat is currently in Rajkot, waiting to complete his visa formalities, and is expected to link up with the Test team in Chattogram in the next few days.
Unadkat replaces Shami for the Test:-
Jaydev Unadkat will join the Indian team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh starting next week.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to make an official announcement. But it has already informed the Saurashtra Cricket Association that Unadkat will join the team in place of Mohammed Shami for the first Test in Chattogram.
The Indian team is constantly battling with injuries. Earlier this week, Kuldeep Sen and Deepak Chahar were also ruled out of ODIs due to injuries.
Rohit had to go back to Mumbai to consult doctors:-
There is doubt on skipper Rohit Sharma, who had to fly back to Mumbai to consult doctors. Unadkat’s selection means he will miss Saurashtra’s Ranji Trophy campaign starter against Assam.
The last few years have been fruitful for Unadkat both as a fast bowler and as the captain of Saurashtra.
He led Saurashtra to their maiden Ranji Trophy title win in the 2019-20 season and under his captaincy the team also won the Vijay Hazare Trophy title last week.
The team won the Ranji Trophy title in 2019-20 by 67 wickets:-
The 31-year-old was the highest wicket-taker as the team won the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy title with 67 wickets, and topped the wicket charts in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 19 wickets from 10 matches.
Unadkat is currently in Rajkot, waiting to complete his visa formalities. And is expecting to join the team in a few days.

Unadkat, who has been a regular performer in domestic cricket, has not played a Test since December 2010. He played the only Test against South Africa in December 2010.
