IPL 2023 Auction: MS Dhoni started planning before mini-auction. Chennai Super Kings miserably failed to defend their title in the last IPL season.
Chennai failed to Perform on all fronts:-
CSK failed to perform on all fronts with the ongoing infighting between CSK senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and the team management.

Dhoni was handed the captaincy of CSK after Jadeja’s disappointment on the leadership front. Meanwhile, the official Twitter account of CSK indicated that Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) is also gearing up for the upcoming mini-auction.
IPL season could be Dhoni’s last:-
The upcoming IPL season could be the last for Dhoni. CSK might find a worthy candidate for the veteran in the upcoming auction.
CSK might look at some big names including Kane Williamson and Ben Stokes but they have plenty of options available in their squad as well. Ruturaj Gaikwad is the prime contender for the spot.
Gaikwad recently praised Dhoni and said that he feels very fortunate to have played alongside him. Gaikwad said “I feel very fortunate to have played alongside MS Dhoni.
His guidance helped me a lot:-

The CSK team management has already said that Jadeja is not a part of CSK’s leadership plans. “As far as the captaincy of CSK is concerned, MS will decide after discussions with the team management.
