KL Rahul Breaks Silence On Pujara Being Made Vice-Captain in Replace Of Pant
KL Rahul Press Conference: KL Rahul broke his silence on making Cheteshwar Pujara the vice-captain in Replace of Rishabh Pant. Rahul was made captain in place of injured Rohit Sharma. Was out of the first match in Chattogram.
BCCI’s selection committee was criticized:-
The BCCI selection committee has been criticized for selecting Cheteshwar Pujara as the vice-captain for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh (IND vs BAN).

However, Rahul has broken his silence on Pujara’s “criteria” for choosing the vice-captain ahead of Pant.
Pant was including along with Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul in the list of players who were to be groomed as future captains of India under Rohit’s captaincy.
Pant was Bumrah’s deputy for the only game in England:-
Pujara was not even on the radar and was in fact dropping for the home series against Sri Lanka in March, with Pant being Bumrah’s deputy for the only game in England.
The decision taken by the BCCI on Sunday was criticizing and terminating as ‘ridiculous’ by fans on Twitter. Who felt Pant was ahead of the order?
Rahul, however, clarified that such decisions do not change a player’s responsibility in the team. Before admitting that he is not aware of the criteria for choosing the vice-captain.
Said at the pre-match press conference on Monday:-

It doesn’t really change much, everyone knows their role and responsibility and how much the team appreciates their contribution.
