Australia’s 15-man World Cup squad will leave on Tuesday evening and will have a few practice sessions ahead of their first official warm-up match against India at Newlands on February 6.

Speaking after the loss against Pakistan, Australia captain Meg Lanning said she was not upset about the missed opportunity but the upcoming warm-up matches and training sessions in South Africa would be crucial.
“To be honest, I don’t think it’s a big issue, we’re nearing the end of the season, we’re nearing the start,” Lanning said on Sunday.
“We’ve had enough match practice, and everyone has played enough cricket to feel in a good place, so I don’t think it’s going to really affect us.
“(The team) is well placed, I think we’ve been able to work on a few different roles for different players, and where he can fit within the team and we have a lot of good There are options and depth in the field.”
