New Zealand Cricket: Big announcement of Kiwi Cricket Board, women players will get equal money as male cricketers

New Zealand Cricket: New Zealand women’s cricketers will now get the same amount of money for international and top-level domestic matches as men’s cricketers.

Women and men’s cricketers will get the same salary, five-year deal :-

New Zealand Cricket: The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced that professional women’s and men’s cricketers will get equal pay for the same game. A five-year deal has been struck for this, in which the White Ferns and domestic women players will get the same match fees as men in all formats and competitions including ODI, T20I, Ford Trophy and Super Smash level.

The agreement also increases the number of contracts awarded to female cricketers in New Zealand and increases the number of competitive matches available to budding players. White Ferns captain Sophie Devine said the agreement would be a game-changer for women’s cricket.

“It’s great for international and domestic women’s players to be recognized in the same agreement with men,”Sophie Devine said.

Format One Match Salary

• Test match $10,250 (about Rs 8 lakh)
• ODI match $ 4,000 (about 3 lakh 15 thousand rupees)
• T20I match $2,500 (approximately Rs 2 lakh)
• Plunkett Shield $1,750
• Ford Trophy/Haliburton johnstone shield $800
• Super Smash $575
