PAK T20 WC 2022: Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman were included in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad in Brisbane on Sunday.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan got a major boost ahead of their blockbuster meeting with Rohit Sharma-led Team India in the ICC World T20 2022.
Speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi has joined the Pakistani camp in Brisbane ahead of Pakistan’s tournament opener against arch-rivals.
Afridi has returned to the T20I mix after recovering from a knee injury that ruled him out of the entire Asia Cup 2022.
Pakistan joins World Cup squad in Brisbane:-
Fast bowler Afridi and star batsman Fakhar Zaman joined the Pakistan World Cup squad in Brisbane on Sunday.
After successfully recovering from a hairline fracture on his right thumb, Pakistan’s Zaman has replaced Usman Qadir in the World Cup squad.
On Sunday, the official Twitter handle of Pakistan Cricket shared a video of Pakistani players catching up with rookie Zaman and Afridi in Brisbane.
Fast bowler Afridi is available for selection in the upcoming warm-up match between England and Pakistan at the Gabba in Brisbane. Where Afridi has been declared fit to play in the practice matches.
Meanwhile, Zaman is expecting to continue his rehabilitation in the making of the World Cup. Babar-led Pakistan will take on Afghanistan in their final warm-up match in Brisbane.
Leading the Green Army’s swift offensive:-
Speaking at the World Cup press conference. Pakistan skipper Babar confirming that Afridi is fully fit. And the star pacer will be leading the Green Army’s pace attack against India.
“Definitely. Shaheen and Fakhar (Zaman) are back. We have six days for the first match, so we will use these practice matches.
Shaheen is completely fitting. And dedicated to giving her 100 percent. So, we are looking forward to seeing him play,” Babar said.
Ready for a high-voltage clash against the Babar-led side, Pakistan’s arch-rivals India will take on World Cup hosts Australia in their warm-up match on Monday.
