IND vs AUS Test- Pat Cummins: Australian captain will take care of his mother after her battle with cancer. Cummins can miss the fourth Test and ODI as well. A four-Test series is being played between India and Australia.

The third match of this series (IND vs AUS 3rd Test) will be played in Indore from 1st March. For this match, Australian captain Pat Cummins can now miss the fourth Test and ODI series (IND vs AUS ODI) along with the third Test.

Because Pat is going to stay with them to take care of his mother. At the same time, in his absence, Steve Smith will take charge of the team.

Captain Pat Cummins was given the option of returning home or staying with the team by Cricket Australia after Australia lost both the opening matches of the Test series, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

So he was about to return for the third test but his mother is battling breast cancer due to which his chances of returning are very less.

On the other hand, before the Indore Test, Australian batsman Peter Handscomb said that these are very good people and family is still number one before any work or business.

The ODI series is going to be very important for the team:-

The Australian team also has to play the ODI series after the Test series against India and the ODI series is going to be very important for the team as the ODI World Cup is to be played in India by the end of this year.

At the same time, this ODI series will help the team a lot. However, Steve Smith will captain the team for the rest of the matches.
