Afridi wanted to remove Azam from the captaincy:-

He told that the interim selection committee headed by Shahid Afridi wanted to remove Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam from the captaincy.

This selection committee was formed to select the team for the home series against New Zealand this year.
