Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna becomes the 1st Indian to take a four-wicket haul on his One Day International debut match

India defeated England by 66 runs in the first ODI match played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya played important roles in the first ODI match. At one time England had scored 135 runs without loss of any wicket in 14.1 overs. After this, Krishna not only gave India a break but also bowled the best in a debut match for the Indian Team.

Prasidh took 4 wickets for 54 runs in 8.1 overs and also one over maiden. This is the best figure of any debut star from India.

Earlier, it was in the name of Record Noel David. He took 3 wickets for 21 while making his ODI debut for India against West Indies in 1997.

Talking about the match, India lost the toss and batting first, scored 317 runs for five wickets in 50 overs, in response to which England were all out for 251 runs in 42.1 overs. For England, Johnny Bairstow scored 94 runs in 66 balls with the help of six fours and seven sixes.

Krunal Pandya made 58 not out with the help of seven fours and two sixes in 31 balls. With this, Krunal became the fastest half-century in a debut match in ODI history. Krunal completed 50 runs off 26 balls.
