Indian Opener batter Shafali Verma gains the number 1 spot in the ICC T20I batting rankings

India women and South Africa Women played two T20Is in the three T20I series but India Women lost the both the T20I matches

Shafali Verma showed her outstanding performance in the first two T20I matches against South Africa Women

Opener batter Shafali, who topped Australia for the first time since reaching the knockout stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup last year, overtook Australia’s Beth Mooney by a score of 23 runs more is 47 runs in the ongoing series against South Africa Women.

Deepti Sharma has moved up to the 40th position for India and teenager Richa Ghosh has moved up from 59th place to 85th position among batter

Young all-rounder Harleen Deol has progressed in with 262 places to 99th place in batting ranking.

Left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gaekwad has moved up from 34th to 25th in bowling rankings.
