SAW vs WIW: Women’s World Cup match canceled due to rain, South Africa and West Indies women’s team are face to face in the 23rd rivalry of ICC Women’s World Cup.

The 23rd Match of ICC Women’s WC:-

The competition is being played between the two teams on Wednesday, March 24. The 23rd match of the ICC Women’s World Cup ended without a result.

The match played between South Africa and West Indies at the Basin Reserve in Wellington had to be called off due to bad weather and incessant rain.

After this both, teams were given one point each. South African team reached the semi-finals with one point.

They have become the second team to reach the knockout stage of the World Cup. Prior to that, Australia’s team had made it to the semi-finals.

South Africa’s Score of 22 Runs:-

West Indies won the toss and called South Africa to bat first. After this, the Caribbean team, bowling excellently, sent four players to the pavilion on the score of 22 runs for South Africa.

However, Mignon du Preez (38) and Marijane Cape (5) tried to handle the innings together and shared an unbroken 39-run stand for the fifth wicket.

But after that, the match could not resume due to bad weather and had to be cancelled.

Australia is at the top of the points table and has reached the semi-finals. While South Africa is in second place, it has also reached the knockout stage.

Apart from these, the West Indies team has now moved to number three with one point, while the Indian team is at number four.

India will need to register a win in the last match against South Africa to reach the semi-finals.
