KKR’s Ramesh Kumar is already a popular YouTube star and is known for his six-hitting abilities. Now it has to be seen whether Ramesh gets a place in KKR’s playing XI in IPL 2022.

Ramesh Kumar, who hails from Punjab, holds the status of a superstar in the tennis ball cricket circle. Ramesh, popularly known as ‘Narayan Jalalabad’, also gave a trial to Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2022 auction.

The left-hander is already a popular YouTube star and is known for his ability to hit six. Now it has to be seen whether Ramesh gets a place in KKR’s playing XI in IPL 2022.

Only 20 Lakhs for Ramesh in The Auction:-

The winning bid of just Rs 20 lakh for Ramesh in KKR’s IPL auction was worth crores for the ‘tennis-ball sensation’. The hard-working batsman has now convinced his aging parents not to work anymore.

According to a report in news agency PTI, Ramesh Kumar’s father works as a cobbler and his mother travels to villages in Punjab’s Fazilka district to sell bangles.

Ramesh finally convinces his parents to put an end to their struggle as now their son may have a future in cricket.

Kumar had to Do As Expected:-

Ramesh recalls the time when he traveled the country earning Rs 500-1000 a day in tennis ball rivalry.

“You must have seen my videos (on YouTube) paaji. I’m basically a tennis ball player. Since I could throw the ball away and come back in, people advised me to play with a leather ball. They Used to say ‘you can make this big’.

It Was All Tennis Ball Cricket:-

“But I didn’t have the approval I needed to pursue the sport professionally. I used to play a weird leather ball game but mainly it was all tennis ball cricket.

“It started with me playing all over Punjab. When I performed, I got calls from other states as well. Sometimes I made 500 in a day, sometimes it was 1000. Running home and my travel expenses That were enough to approve of,” he said.

Ramesh now feels that playing for India is also a possibility, although he knows he has a long way to go.

“Paji I used to bowl with the Cosco ball which is very light. The leather ball is very heavy and it is difficult to twist but I am slowly getting better. I am sure that the IPL tenure will boost my game in a big way. But will cooperate,” he added.
