Iyer’s return in the Asia Cup is looking difficult. Iyer is recovering and is currently on rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, with media reports suggesting that he still has a back problem.

According to reports, Iyer had recently taken an injection for his back pain at the NCA. His back still hurts. Iyer had back surgery in London in April.

Shreyas Iyer was also not given a place in the West Indies tour. According to media reports, it will take more than 3 months for him to regain match fitness.

Not only is he finding it difficult to play the Asia Cup, but he is also finding it difficult to play the World Cup.

The Asia Cup will be played from August 31 to September 17. It is being hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
