Gaikwad is Not A Part Of The Upcoming T20 Series Due To Injury:-

Suryakumar Yadav, the lifeline of the Indian team in the middle-order, is not a part of the upcoming T20 series due to injuries to Hardik Pandya and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Surya suffered a leg injury during the African tour, after which he underwent surgery on his heel.

Hardik got injured while bowling against Bangladesh in the World Cup. Apart from these two players, Gaikwad had injured his finger in the second ODI match played in Port Elizabeth on 19 December. At present, he is also busy recovering from his injury.

Indian star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah along with Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been rested for the upcoming series.

Both these players were continuously participating in the African tour. This is the reason why the team management has decided to give him rest before the upcoming big matches.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have not been included in the Indian fleet for the T20 series against Afghanistan. There is no fitness problem with these two players. Iyer was also with the Indian team on the African tour.
