South Africa Lead the Proteas to a 2–1 series win over England in Southampton. South Africa’s T20I form is as good as anyone in the world right now.

Good signs for South Africa ahead of T20 World Cup:-

In the form of Reeza Hendrix and Tabrez Shamsi, the Proteas have lost just four of their last 20 matches in the shortest format of the game.

In-form opener Reeza Hendrix set the tone with a well-compiled 70 against England in Southampton.

The Named Player of the Series:-

It was no surprise that the right-handed batsman was named Player of the Series for his 180 runs which included three half-centuries.

Left-arm spinner Tabrez Shamsi was the star with the ball in the final match of the series as he completed his maiden five-wicket haul at the T20I level.

He emerged as a key player for the Proteas in the T20 World Cup later this year.

England at this stage have only 10 more matches to go before the start of their T20 World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on 22 October and Mott knows he has a lot more work to do.

Mott has lost consecutive T20I series since taking over as coach in May and knows his team needs to improve if they are to stay competitive Down Under.
