WBBL06 is the side’s leading run-scorer and WBBL07 only behind Katie Mack.
Speaking from Birmingham, where South Africa is competing at the Commonwealth Games, Wolvaardt said she can’t wait to add to her striker’s run tally.
“I love playing for Adelaide and I am very happy that I will be back this year. We were very close to the title last year and I know that as a team we can take the next step this season.
“Fans around Australia love WBBL and support us so well, I’m really excited to see everyone again and hope to have a strong season together.”
The Strikers’ Head Coach, Luke Williams, knows what Wolvaardt will bring to WBBL08. “Laura is a wonderful player and a wonderful person; We are thrilled to have him back for a third season.
“With a large number of international caps and a lot of experience in Australian conditions. Laura is a big part of our team. And we are extremely glad that she wants to play for the Strikers.”
In all, Wolvaardt has hit 70 fours and 15 sixes as a striker. More than a few of which are produced by the crisp cover drives for which the South African international is known around the world.
Wolvaardt scored 381 runs last season as the Strikers qualified for the tournament decider by dominating final fixtures against Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades.
Wolvaardt is the elite in the field, something that was summoned in a magical moment from last season. In difficult Tasmanian conditions, exposed to strong winds and incessant rain.

Wolvaardt found herself at the bottom of a skidding shot. If caught, would make Darcie Brown the first female striker to claim a hat-trick.
Not only did Wolvaardt catch the swirling ball to celebrate that day. But he also gave the bat in hand, to which a player of the match responded by winning 54 off 30 balls.
