Two groups of four teams in the qualifying stage:-

T20 World Cup: ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be played in three phases. In the qualifying stage in the first round, two groups of four teams will compete in a round-robin format.

The top two teams from each group will join the eight teams that have already qualified for the Super 12 stage. The Super 12 stage will see two groups of six teams each playing a round-robin.
