T20 World Cup Qualifier A: Muhammad Waseem Reserves UAE’s Best Over Ireland In Final Helped your side to win. The UAE’s Opener Waseem reserved his best for the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier as he helped his side to a win over Ireland on Thursday.
Wasim’s Flamboyant innings of 112 runs:-
Muhammad Waseem’s scintillating 112 runs helped UAE win over Ireland by seven wickets with eight balls to spare.

Both the teams have already backed their tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in Australia later this year on Tuesday.
The UAE win cemented their place in Group 1 of the first round in Australia. They join Sri Lanka and Namibia and will be joined by runners-up in Qualifier B which will be played in Zimbabwe in June.
Ireland joined the West Indies and Scotland in Group 2 of the first round. They will be joined by the Qualifier B winner.
The Ireland Banned at 159:-
After restricting Ireland to 159, the only full member nation in the qualifiers, the UAE held off on the chase as Joshua Little took an early lead.
Chirag Suri and in-form Vriti Aravind were dropping in the space of three balls as UAE went 12/2.
Aravind’s prize wicket raised Ireland’s hopes as the 19-year-old was a run-machine in the tournament. Apart from the golden duck, Arvind finished as the highest run-scorer of the tournament with 267.
However, UAE had enough fuel in their tanks and Waseem stamped his credentials as another player to look forward to. Waseem’s century, his second century against Ireland.
He Scored 241 Runs:-
Takes them closer to Aravind’s total as he scored 241 runs. The last century was scoring in Dubai in October last year.
Along with experienced all-rounder Rohan Mustafa (37 not out), Waseem took the competitive attack on the cleaners with some clean hitting around the park.

His stand of 141 before Waseem went into the 18th over almost got them a win and UAE were expecting only six from 12. They finished at 160/3 in 18.4 overs.
The victory sealed the UAE’s dominance over Ireland in recent days as they scripted their fifth consecutive victory. UAE’s winning streak started in Dubai in October 2021.
