Tata IPL 2022: Shikhar Dhawan told his strategy regarding his return to the Indian team, Opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has been out of the Indian team for some time, has given himself a big target in this IPL (IPL 2022).

He will be Punjab Kings this season:-

Dhawan told TOI that he would like to score big for Punjab Kings this season. Dhawan said that his excellent performance in this season of IPL can get him a ticket for the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.

Tata IPL 2022: In the interview, Dhawan said that the T20 World Cup is coming. I know if I do well in IPL then I can get into the Indian team.

I am sure of doing well in IPL. If I do that, I will get an opportunity to be a part of the World Cup team.

• Dhawan’s new team Punjab Kings has never won an IPL title in the last 14 tries.
• Dhawan also wants his new franchise to end this season’s bad condition.
• Dhawan said that the Mayank Agarwal-led side can do very well this season and he will definitely contribute.
• It will be a chance for a strong performance in the IPL for both me and the team.
• We have a balanced team and we will do well in the season.

A Lot of Praise For Rohit Sharma:-

During the interview, Dhawan also praised Rohit Sharma fiercely. Dhawan said that he is very impressed with the captaincy of Hitman. Rohit has not lost any match so far under his captaincy.

Recently he did a clean sweep against West Indies and Sri Lanka. Shikhar Dhawan said that Rohit’s relaxed attitude and calm attitude keep him in good shape.

Dhawan said Rohit is cool, relaxed, smart, and very friendly. He reads the game very well. And he may be the captain now, but for those who know him, he is the same Rohit.

He is very helpful and another good quality in him is that even if he has a bit of a hard time telling you. He will tell you in a way that he won’t have the same experience once.

Dhawan’s Performance in IPL

Shikhar Dhawan has scored 5784 runs in 192 matches of IPL at an average of 34.84 and strike rate of 126.64. Gabbar has also scored 44 fifties and 2 centuries in IPL. Last season too Shikhar had an excellent performance in the IPL.

In the 16 competitions of IPL 2021, Dhawan scored 587 runs at an average of 40 and a strike rate of 124.62. While in IPL 2020, Dhawan scored 618 runs, 521 in 2019, and 497 in 2018.
