The Privately Funded Women’s Event:-

The tournament is scheduling to be holding in Dubai from May 1 to 15. It is the world’s first privately funding women’s event.

A BCCI official said, five players of the Indian women’s team Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Shefali Verma, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues participated in the event. The contract was signing last year for which the BCCI has refused to give a no-objection certificate (NOC).

The event will be holding from May 1 while the BCCI’s domestic Women’s Inter-State Championship will begin on April 18. With knockout competitions to be playing from May 1.

A Participation in Domestic Tournaments is Important:-

The BCCI feels it is important for all Indian women cricketers to participate in domestic tournaments. As it will form the basis of qualification for the 2023 T20 World Cup.

The board wants all its women cricketers to be available. For the Women’s T20 Challenge as well, which will start on May 24.

The official said, the BCCI has also denied GS Lakshmi (GS Lakshmi). A No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Dubai event.

GS Lakshmi was the match referee in the final competition of the Women’s World Cup. It is believing that Lakshmi will be made the match referee in the domestic Women’s T20 Championship.

An official of the event said. “The organizers are a little disappointed. That the BCCI has unfortunately refused to allow women cricketers to play in the event.

The Cricket Hong Kong event is being hosting by the Emirates Cricket Board. And will feature over 90 women cricketers from 36 countries. Playing in six teams in the tournament.
