IPL 2023: The BCCI issues diktat and asks IPL bowlers to double workload. These days, workload management has become a buzzword in Indian cricket during IPL (Indian Premier League).
A section of Indian cricketers have lost their fitness:-
Where a section of Indian cricketers have been asked to take care of their fitness, body, avoid overworking and monitor the workload.

And the other group of players has been asked to double the workload. At the same time, this order has been given by the Indian Cricket Board i.e. BCCI.
The board has given this order regarding the ICC WTC Final 2023.
Indian bowlers will be seen doing more work in the nets in the second half of the 16th season of IPL. For the World Test Championship final, the board has said this about the bowlers.
Cricbuzz has confirmed that bowlers will have to practice bowling more during the IPL to aim better.
Bowlers have enough before WTC final 200 or 175:-
On this matter, former bowling coach of the Indian team Bharat Arun said, “It is important that before the WTC final 200 or 175, the bowlers have enough workload.
They should be well prepared at the WTC.” And Bharat Arun said that, when it last participated in the WTC finals a few years back.
The command is largely for all fast bowlers but spinners have been given similar advice.
IPL 2023: Skipper Rohit Sharma left it to the respective franchises saying, “Franchises now adopt them. We’ve got them giving teams some pointers or some sort of borderline thing.
But at the end of the day, it is up to the franchise and most importantly, it is the players. He has to take care of his body. They are all young, so, they have to take care of their bodies.”
Still time for WTC final and World Cup:-
Mohammed Shami said that he knows what is expected of him to stay fit as there is still time for the WTC final and the World Cup and as a player, it is not possible to think long-term.
You don’t know what will happen tomorrow? You need to be smart in terms of managing your workload. When you play international cricket, you know how much work you need to do.
