The Sri Lanka created history by winning 11th consecutive ODI. Sri Lanka gave a strong performance and made a great start to its campaign by defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets in its first match of the Asia Cup.

The Sri Lankan team also won the 11th ODI in a row. This is Sri Lanka’s record for most consecutive ODI wins in ODIs.

Along with this, Sri Lanka has made a world record of all-out the opposition team in the 11th consecutive match by including Bangladesh in this match.

Sri Lanka won its 11th consecutive ODI:-

Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets in their opening match of the Asia Cup to win their 11th consecutive ODI, setting a new record for most consecutive ODI wins in their cricket history.

Earlier, Sri Lanka had won 10 consecutive ODIs between February 2004 and July 2004. Apart from this, Sri Lanka also won 10 ODIs in a row from December 2013 to May 2014.

The record for the most consecutive ODI wins overall is held by Australia, who won 21 consecutive ODIs from January 2003 to May 2003.

  • 11- (June 2003, released*)
  • 10- (February 2004-July 2004)
  • 10-(December 2023-May 2014)

Sri Lanka set the record for most consecutive dismissals in ODIs. Sri Lanka bundled out Bangladesh for 164 runs in 42.4 overs in this match.

With this, Sri Lanka has made a record for the most number of consecutive all-outs by the opposition team in ODIs.

Sri Lanka all out the opposition team for the 11th consecutive time in ODI, Before this, this record was in the name of Australia, which had all out the opposition team 10 consecutive times in ODI between 2009 and 2010.
