The Zimbabwe Cricket Suspends Two International Players With Immediate Effect For Taking Drugs

Zimbabwe Cricket Board: Zimbabwe Cricket has suspended two international players with immediate effect for taking drugs. Zimbabwe Cricket Board has taken major action against two of its players.

Both The Players Had Consumed Such Drugs:-

Both these players had consumed such drugs which have been banned. After which both these players were found positive in the dope test.

These two players from Zimbabwe are Wesley Madhavire and Brendon Mavuta. Against whom the Zimbabwe Cricket Board has taken action. The Cricket Board has now suspended both these players till the next hearing.

Both players were found guilty of violating anti-doping rules. After which Zimbabwe Cricket took action against both the players with immediate effect.

Both Players Were Found Guilty Of Consuming Banned Drugs

Stating the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, it was said that both the players have been found guilty of consuming banned drugs. Wesley Madhwire and Brendon Mavuta tested positive for dope.

After which both these players are suspended until the case is fully heard. Now these players will not be able to participate in any cricket activity till further orders.

Both these players have played a lot of cricket for the Zimbabwe national team. Wesley Madhavire has played 98 international matches for Zimbabwe. Out of which 36 are ODI and 60 T20 International matches. Madhvere has scored 705 runs in ODI and 1047 runs in T20.

He Has Only One Half-Century To His Name in International Cricket:-

On the other hand, Brendon Mavuta has played 4 Tests, 12 ODIs, and 10 T20 matches for Zimbabwe. Mavuta has scored 82 runs in the Test, 88 runs, and 61 runs in the ODI. He has only one half-century to his name in international cricket.

Bad times are currently going on for the Zimbabwe cricket team. The Zimbabwe team has also not been able to qualify for T20 World Cup 2024.

Now Zimbabwe team will not be seen playing in the T20 World Cup to be held in the year 2024. Last year, this team performed well in the T20 World Cup. This team had also defeated a team like Pakistan in the tournament.
