TNPL 2023: Same-to-same… Catch like Shubman Gill’s wicket became a matter of controversy. In the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC), Shubman Gill’s wicket had become a matter of controversy.
This is what it felt like when Green took the catch:-
When Cameron Green took the catch, it seemed that the ball touched the ground and went into his hands.

Although the umpire declared him out. Now a similar scene has been seen during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).
A catch became the talk of the town in the match played between Nellai Royal Kings and iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans at the NPR College Ground, Dindigul on Wednesday.
Batsman Suryaprakash became the victim:-
During the fourth over of the Kings innings, as batsman Laxmesh Suryaprakash came forward and tried to play the ball away from the off-stump, the ball touched the edge of his bat and went to S Radhakrishnan, who took the catch at slip.
Confused umpires referred the decision to the third umpire, who reviewed it several times and finally gave Suryaprakash out.
Although in the replays it seemed many times that the ball had touched the ground slightly, but the third umpire considered it a correct catch. Like the Gill incident, this decision also went in favor of the bowler.
Tamizhans registered victory:-
The dismissal of Gill was criticized by several former cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Ravi Shastri, Aakash Chopra, and others.
Coming to the TNPL match, Kings were bundled out for 124 runs. In which Sonu Yadav became the run-scorer for the team by scoring 35 runs.

Apart from Bhuvaneswaran’s 5-wicket haul, G. Periyaswamy also took two wickets. Later, the Tamizhans registered an easy win thanks to the pair of S Radhakrishnan and Tushar Raheja.
