Tilak Yadav, father of fast bowler Umesh Yadav, passed away on Wednesday, 22 February. He was 74 years old.

After this sad news, Umesh is unlikely to remain a part of the team in Australia series for much longer.

Even in the last two Tests, Umesh was not able to make it into the playing 11 much. He had to sit out as the pitches were spin friendly.

Now it is not possible for him to play in the remaining matches. Umesh will soon leave for his father’s funeral.

Umesh’s father worked hard to make his son an international cricketer. He worked in the coal mines for this.

Last year Umesh Yadav played his last international test match against Bangladesh. Where he took 7 wickets in two test matches.
