Vrinda Rathi Makes History: First Indian Woman To Umpire A Bilateral Series At A Neutral Venue! Big news in women’s cricket! Vrinda Rathi just became the first-ever Indian woman to umpire a bilateral series at a neutral venue.
The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium:-
She’s calling the shots in the ongoing ODI between the Aussie Women and the Bangladesh Women at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. This is a huge milestone, as no Indian woman umpire has ever done this before!

Remember Vrinda’s debut as a Test umpire earlier this year? That was the historic Test match between the Indian Women and the English Women in Mumbai. Vrinda’s been on a roll – she even umpired at the 2022 Commonwealth Games!
She Conquered The BCCI’s Umpiring Exams:-
Based in Mumbai, Vrinda’s journey started in 2014 when she aced the Mumbai Cricket Association exam. Four years later, in 2018, she conquered the BCCI’s umpiring exams.
Vrinda’s talent got recognized in 2020 when she was selected for the ICC Development Panel of Umpires. Since then, she’s been unstoppable, umpiring in 13 Women’s ODIs and a whopping 43 International T20 matches.
She’s A Familiar Face in The Women’s Premier League Too:-
