After New Zealand’s historic victory, Indian star cricketer R Ashwin wrote that “once again a match like the 2005 Edgbaston Test, that too with a two-run win and getting the last batsman out on the leg side”.

While Dinesh Karthik wrote “Such a great Test match and it was great to see the smiles on the faces of the Tomes players after that”.

The England team scored 435 runs while batting first:-

While talking about the match, the England team scored 435 runs while batting first, during which Joe Root scored an unbeaten 153 and apart from this, Harry Brook scored an inning of 186 runs.

At the same time, Matt Henry took 4 wickets in Kiwi bowling. In response, Kiwi team captain Tim Southee played an inning of 73 runs.
