WPL 2023: Tata also acquired the title rights of the Women’s Premier League after the IPL. Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah announced this by tweeting.

After acquiring the rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Tata group has also acquired the title rights of the first Women’s Premier League, which is set to begin on March 4 in Mumbai.

He said, “I am extremely happy to announce that the Tata Group will be the title sponsor of the first WPL. With their support, we are confident that we can take women’s cricket to the next level.”

The financial aspects of the deal were not disclosed:-

A BCCI source told PTI that Tata has secured the rights for five years.

Tata also acquired the rights of the IPL last year. The matches of the Women’s Premier League will be played at two stadiums in Mumbai, Brabourne, and DY Patil.

According to Cricbuzz, Tata has signed a five-year deal with the BCCI for the title sponsorship for the Women’s Premier League.

Follows Tata’s title Rights To IPL:-

One of India’s largest conglomerates, the deal follows Tata’s title rights for the IPL. Tata and Sons replaced the Chinese tech brand Vivo. The value of the WPL sponsorship deal is yet to be confirmed.
