Apart from Mandhana, there are three more players who were sold as the most expensive players in the WPL but their performance was poor.

Smriti Mandhana- RCB included Smriti Mandhana in their team for Rs 3.40 crore. Along with this, he was also given the command of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

At the same time, Smriti Mandhana has scored only 149 runs in 8 matches. Also, she could not make even a single fifty.

Ashleigh Gardner – On the other hand, Australia’s star all-rounder Ashley Gardner is a player of Gujarat Giants in WPL. He was bought by Gujarat in the auction for 3.20 crores and included in his team.

At present, the Gujarat team also failed in this season. While Gardner has scored just 204 runs in 8 matches at 141.66 strike rate and has taken 10 wickets. During this, he has scored only 2 half-centuries.

Natalie Sciver Brunt – The team of Mumbai Indians has performed the best in this season. At the same time, English player Natalie Sciver is in this team. Whom Mumbai has included in their team for Rs 3.20 crore.

Deepti Sharma- UP Warriors included Indian star all-rounder Deepti Sharma in their team for Rs 2.6 crore.

But UP’s vice-captain Deepti could not do anything special in this season. He has scored only 74 runs in 8 matches. Also he has taken 9 wickets.

Currently, Mumbai, Delhi and UP have qualified for the playoffs in WPL 2023. In which Delhi Capitals led by Meg Lanning is the only team which has reached the final directly with the help of +1.856 run rate.
