WTC 2023: Virat Kohli Will Leave For London Today For WTC Final

WTC 2023: Virat Kohli will leave for London today for the WTC final. Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Mohammed Siraj will also board the same flight.

The first batch of Indian team to fly to England on Tuesday:-

Virat Kohli will leave for London with the first batch of Indian players leaving for the World Test Championship WTC Final against Australia in London. The first batch of the Indian team will fly to England on Tuesday.

Spinner R Ashwin, Axar Patel, and all-rounder Shardul Thakur will also be with the team’s support staff, led by Rahul Dravid.

BCCI source told:-

The WTC final will be played at The Oval from June 7 to 11. A BCCI source said, “There will be two or three batches in all.

The first batch will leave tomorrow at 4.30 am. The players who will be back in India for the IPL playoffs include skipper Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, KS Bharat, and Ajinkya Rahane.

Most Players of the Indian team IPL:-

Cheteshwar Pujara is already playing county cricket in England. While most of the players in the Indian team are going into the title clash two months after the IPL, only three Australians have played in the richest T20 league.

Last week, the great Ricky Ponting had said that while the Australians will be better prepared mentally for the final, the Indians will have valuable playing time behind them.
