WTC Final: Team India Finished Second in The World Test Championship

WTC Final: Team India finished second in the World Test Championship. India made a clean sweep of Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) 2-0 and secured the second position in the ICC World Test Championship points table.

Australia in February for a 4-match Test series:-

South Africa is in third place, but the road ahead is going to be difficult for Rohit Sharma and the team.

When Australia tour India in February for a 4-match Test series, India will need to win 3 out of 4 matches to make it to the WTC finals.

In fact, in the second innings of the last Test match against Bangladesh, India was a bit nervous. Chasing 145 to win the game, the Indian opening order faltered and was reduced to 45/4 at stumps on the third day.

Then on the fourth day, India lost three more wickets but Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer made that impossible victory possible and gave India a 2-0 win.

India secures the second spot in WTC:-

At the same time, with this victory, India has confirmed the second position in the WTC. On the other hand, Australia topped the chart. South Africa is currently playing against Australia.

India will be hoping for a 3-0 win for the Aussies against the Proteas. This will make things easier for India, who will need just one series win.

However, if South Africa stages a comeback to seal the series 2–1 and then secure a 2–0 win against the West Indies.

After this, South Africa can overtake India to reach the second position. In such a situation, it will be very important for India to win again against Australia at home by 3-1 or 2-0.
