Zimbabwe announces squad for the tour of Scotland and Ireland Experienced trio Brendan Taylor, Craig Ervine, and Sean Williams have returned to tour Ireland and Scotland.
Zimbabwe will play five T20Is and three ODIs against Ireland from 27 August and then travel to Scotland for three more T20Is from 15 September.
Taylor rested for T20I against Bangladesh
Taylor was rested for the home series against Bangladesh, while Ervine and Williams missed a side’s Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is as they were in isolation after coming into contact with a person with COVID-19.
The selectors have retained the remaining 15 matches played against Bangladesh. The three ODIs against Ireland will form part of the ICC One Day Super League. Zimbabwe is at the bottom of the list with just one win from six matches.

Zimbabwe will rely on their experienced players
While Zimbabwe will rely on their experienced players, expectations will be high from Wesley Madhevere, who scored 150 runs in three T20 Internationals against Bangladesh. He scored 73 in the second game to help Zimbabwe register their only win of the tour. The bowling will be led by Mujarbani and Luke Jongwe is also expected to play a key role.
