CSA T20 League: In the Cricket South Africa T20 League, Chennai Super Kings, owner of Johannesburg franchise, included five players including Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali in the team for the first season of the league. Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited made this announcement on Sunday.
CSKL informed that Faf du Plessis (South Africa), Moeen Ali (England), Mahish Teeksha (Sri Lanka); Romario Shepherd (West Indies) and Gerald Coetzee (South Africa) have been included in the Johannesburg franchise.

CSA T20 League: One can choose up to four players from the contracted list of available players :-
KS Viswanathan, Chief Executive Officer, CSKCL said, “As per Cricket South Africa rules, we can select up to four players from the contracted list of available players. Of these four players, one can be a key player from South Africa, while the other three cannot be from more than two countries.
“We have decided to pick four players, including Faf du Plessis, Moeen, Mahish and Romario, who have been signed by Cricket South Africa. We are also allowed to take a young player from South Africa. Whatever Faf has said, we did,” he said. Decided to choose Gerald.”

Viswanathan said on the selection of Faf, “Faf has been the backbone of CSK in IPL for the last 10 years. He has been one of the best players for our team. We didn’t get the privilege of picking him during the last auction in IPL. The opportunity we were looking for came in the CSA T20 League.”
