David Warner will make this special record after scoring 119 runs, will become the first foreign player

In IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals have appointed David Warner as the captain in place of injured Rishabh Pant. Delhi bought Warner in 2022 for Rs 6.25 crore. Last year he did exceptionally well for Delhi. This season he has a golden chance to make a special record.

David Warner scored 432 runs last season –

Actually, David Warner has scored 5881 runs in 162 matches at an average of 42 in IPL history. He has a great chance to complete 6000 runs in the 16th season of IPL. If he succeeds in doing so, he will become the first foreign player to score 6000 runs in IPL. Warner is just 119 runs behind this record. Virat Kohli has the highest number of runs in IPL.

In the year 2022, David Warner’s bat went well for Delhi. Warner scored 432 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of over 150. During this, he scored 5 half-centuries, including the highest score of 92 not out.

Warner’s name includes four centuries and 55 half-centuries in the IPL. Along with this, he has also won the Orange Cap three times. David Warner is third in terms of scoring the most runs in IPL.

David Warner made his IPL debut in 2009 –

It may be noted that David Warner made his IPL debut in 2009 for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). In 2014 Sunrisers Hyderabad bought it for 5.5 crores. He continued to play for Sunrisers till 2021. During this, in 2016, under his captaincy, Hyderabad was also made the champion. At present, from 2022, he is again associated with Delhi.
