ENG vs NED: England scored the biggest score in ODI history, Malan, Buttler and Salt scored centuries against Netherlands

England batted explosively against the Netherlands in the first match of the three-match series. Buttler and Salt scored centuries against Netherlands He scored 498 for four in 50 overs at Amstelvein on Friday (June 17). This is the highest score in ODI history. England broke their own old record. He had earlier scored 481 for six against Australia in Nottingham in 2018.

Three batsmen scored centuries in innings for England

Three batsmen scored centuries in the innings for England. Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 162 off 70 balls. He hit 14 sixes and seven fours in his innings. During this his strike rate was 231.43. David Malan scored 125 runs in 109 balls. He hit nine fours and three sixes. Philippe Salt scored 122 runs in 93 balls. He hit 14 fours and three sixes.

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first. His decision turned out to be right in the beginning. Shane Snatter gave his first success to the team by clean bowling his cousin Jason Roy. Roy could only score one run in seven balls. After his dismissal, David Malan came to the crease. He shared a 222-run partnership with Philippe Salt for the second wicket.

Jos Buttler joins Malan

Salt returned to the pavilion on the fourth ball of the 30th over. He was caught by Van Beek at the hands of Boiseven. Salt scored runs at a strike rate of 131.18. Jos Buttler joined Malan. Both of them exposed the bowlers of the Netherlands. Malan and Buttler put on 184 runs for the third wicket in 14.5 overs. Malan was caught by Captain Seelar at the hands of Bas de Lyde. Malan’s strike rate stood at 114.68.

Captain Eoin Morgan could not score a single run. Seelar made him lbw on the very first ball. After this, Liam Livingstone came to support Buttler . Both batted stormy. Livingstone and Butler shared a 91-run partnership in the last 32 balls. Buttler scored 231.43 and Livingstone scored at a strike rate of 300.
