ENG vs SA, Anrich Nortje : Lethal bowling from Nortje and Kagiso Rabada razed Englandโs batting on the rain-affected first day of the first Test cricket match in South Africa. Only 32 overs could be played on the first day due to rain. England have scored 116 runs for six wickets.
ENG vs SA: Excellent batting by Ollie Pope :-
Ollie Pope holds one end and he is playing on 61, but he does not get any help from the other end. Stuart Broad was at the crease with him when the dayโs play was announced, who is yet to open his account.
Great bowling by Anrich Nortje and Kagiso :-
Anrich Nortje took three for 43 while Rabada took two for 36. Marco Yansen gets a wicket. South Africa won the toss and elected to field first and Rabada soon showed both the openers Alex Liege (five) and Jock Crowley (nine) on the way to the pavilion.

Yansen showed Joe Root the way to the pavilion :-
Joe Root was dismissed leg before by Yansen, who could only score eight runs. Then Anrich Nortje โs magic happened. He did not even allow Jonny Bairstow to open the account while captain Ben Stokes also did not let the captain take advantage of a good start. Stokes scored 20 runs.
Anrich Nortje also bowled wicket-keeper batsman Ben Fox (six). The Pope, however, held on to one end. He has hit four fours in his innings so far.
