Joburg Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis has given a big response after scoring a tremendous century in the South Africa T20 League (SA20). He has said that he was getting starts but he was not able to convert it into a big score and now it feels good that he played a big innings. Faf Du Plessis explained the importance of partnership.

Joburg Super Kings defeated Durban Super Giants by 8 wickets in the 22nd match of South African T20 League. Batting first, Durban Super Giants scored 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Joburg Super Kings achieved this target by losing just two wickets in 19.1 overs thanks to a blistering century from captain Faf du Plessis. Faf du Plessis was chosen as the player of the match.

Chasing the target, Joburg Super Kings got off to a tremendous start. The opening pair of Faf du Plessis and Reeza Hendricks shared a formidable partnership of 157 runs for the first wicket. Reeza Hendricks scored only 45 runs in 46 balls during this period. While captain Faf du Plessis played an unbeaten inning of 113 runs off 58 balls with the help of 8 fours and 8 sixes and gave his team victory.

Faf du Plessis Reacts to the best Century

Faf du Plessis gave a big reaction to his excellent century and this victory for the team. They said,

It was important for me to convert these scores into big innings. It felt good to play this innings and we got a great win. We felt like we were a little behind, but I kept telling Reeza Hendricks to keep giving me strikes. Partnership is very important in batting. i told them to play as late as possible
