Vinod Kambli openly expressed his position in front of everyone in an exclusive interview to ‘Mid-Day’
In a special interview given to ‘Mid-Day’, Vinod Kambli openly put his position in front of everyone. The former cricketer, who has tried his luck in everything from cricket to films and reality shows on the small screen, says he needs work as he has to raise his family. Vinod Kambli told in this interview that the only source of his earning is the pension of 30 thousand rupees received by the BCCI. That’s why they need work.
I need a job
He took up the responsibility of coaching in between when he used to train the children of Tendulkar Global Middlesex Academy in Nerul. But he says that Nerul used to fall far away from his house. Getting up at 5 in the morning to reach the stadium used to be a lot of workload. He says that he is thankful to BCCI because the pension he is getting as a retired cricketer is running the house.

He said, “I want jobs where I can work with youngsters. I know Mumbai has retained Amol Majumdar as coach. But if I am needed anywhere, I am fully prepared for that.” . We’ve played together too.”
I sought help from MCA
Vinod Kambli further said, “I sought help from MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association). I also came to CIC where there was an honorary job. I requested MCA to give me some work as I also want to look after my family. Be it at Wankhede Stadium or BKC, I am ready to work at both the places. Mumbai cricket has given me a lot. This sport has given me life.”
I drink occasionally, I’ll quit completely if needed
Kambli also told that he is not an addict, just drinks a little sometimes. He says – who doesn’t. Kambli said that if work is found in some place and there the rules say that you cannot drink, then I will stop it immediately.
