Former Pakistan cricketer praises India for 2-1 Series Win Against Sri Lanka as saying
The Indian team defeated Asian champions Sri Lanka in the three-match T20 series at home. After India’s stupendous performance, former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has praised the performance of the Men in Blue against Sri Lanka.
Former Pakistan cricketer Akmal said on his YouTube channel –
“It was very important for Team India to win this series. Sri Lanka had a complete team considering they were the same players when they won the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup as well.”
“The Sri Lankan side has won against many top teams including India in the recent past. They (India) managed to win against strong opposition despite going in with a new captain and a lot of youngsters. They played fearless cricket and were spot on with their plans.”
That win provided a platform for the youngsters –
The win extended India’s unbeaten run in the T20I series on home soil to 11 and also provided a platform for the youngsters to prove their mettle.
Akmal feels India displayed a fearless brand of cricket.
