Former Selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth said – Mohammed Shami should have got the chance

India will face Pakistan in their first match. Jasprit Bumrah is not included in the team in this tournament due to back injury. Questions are being raised on the selection of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami due to not getting a chance in the team.

Mohammed Shami played his last T20 match in the T20 World Cup

Former India team selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth has said that if he had to select the team for the Asia Cup, he would have definitely included Mohammed Shami in the team. Mohammed Shami played his last T20 match in the T20I World Cup last year. Srikkanth said that if he was a selector, he would have definitely given place to Mohammed Shami in the team.

KL Rahul returns

KL Rahul has returned to the team. After Corona and Injury, Rahul has been included in the team again. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik included in the 15-man squad in the team. Three spinners Ravi Bishnoi, Ashwin and Chahal have been included in the 15-man squad. Jadeja and Pandya selected as all-rounders.

Bumrah and Harshal could not recover from the injury

Regarding Bumrah and Harshal Patel separately. The board said that Bumrah and Harshal could not be included in the team due to injury. Bumrah and Harshal are undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.

India’s first match in the Asia Cup starting on August 27 will be at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on August 28 against Pakistan.
