Geoff Allardice has been appointed as the CEO of ICC

Geoff Allardice has been appointed as the CEO of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The former first-class cricketer has surrendered. His job permanently after being in the role on an interim basis for more than eight months.

Allardice will be replacing Manu Sawhney, whose services were terminating by the world governer body.

Allardice comes with a rich administrative feel on his CV, having been General Manager at the ICC for eight years. And has held a similar position with Cricket Australia in the past.
