Virat Kohli: Former England spinner Graeme Swann has made a big disclosure about TV ratings. Swann believes that India’s star batsman Virat Kohli will have to do well in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
TV ratings also increase with Virat playing better. In the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in Australia, India will start its campaign with the match against Pakistan on 23 October.
Talking to News18, Swan told this thing:-
Speaking to News18, Swann said that Kohli’s poor performance at the mega event could lead to lower television ratings. He praised Virat Kohli and said that he likes to watch Kohli bat from both inside and outside the field.
Graeme Swann, “I have worked for television only then I know these things” :-
Graeme Swann also said, “Indian team will be expecting good performance from Virat Kohli. I have worked for television and I know how important it is for Kohli to do well. Same is the case with MS Dhoni, when these players don’t do well, the TV ratings go down and people don’t like to watch again.
Graeme Swann likes to watch Virat bat from close range :-
Swann said, “I want Virat Kohli to do well. When I used to play against India. I have never ignored Virat Kohli’s batting. I love watching him bat from close range.
Trust me if you think Kohli looks good batting from TV or from the stand then you should watch it at backward point or standing at cover. It’s great to see him bat.”
