ICC banned an Indian cricketer for 14 years for match-fixing

ICC: A United Arab Emirates (UAE) domestic cricketer has been suspended from all cricketing activities for 14 years. He was suspended after being found guilty of seven charges related to match-fixing in an international series in April 2019. A T20 franchise tournament in Canada the same year has blocked.

Mehar Chhayakar banned for 14 years :-

The International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a statement on Wednesday announcing that Mehar Chhayakar has banned after hearing in the ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal.

Earlier, two UAE players also banned :-

Earlier, two players of the Emirates national team banned. He had admitted to violating the Anti-Corruption Code regarding the offer involving Mehar Chhayakar. Chhayakar is a wicket-keeper batsman who has played in the top league in UAE.

He participated in the Under-19 Asian Club tournament in 2012. Mehar Chhayakar has denied all the allegations. The ICC takes a lot of strictness regarding fixing and in such a situation, if any player found guilty, he definitely gets punishment.
