Williamson has moved up to second in the Test batting rankings. Australia’s Marnus Labushen occupies the first place. Williamson scored his sixth double century in this series.

It should be noted that Williamson has gained a total of 51 rating points in the recently released Test rankings. Williamson now has a total of 883 points. He is just 32 points behind Labushen. Labushen has a total of 915. Steve Smith (3rd), Joe Root (4th), Babar Azam (5th) and Travis Head (6th) have all dropped a place, while Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne (10th) ranked. Karunaratne has scored three fifties in the series against New Zealand.
