For the first time in the last 21 years, this has happened in Tests when a bowler has clean bowled five batsmen in an innings. Last time Shoaib Akhtar did this. He achieved this feat against South Africa in Johannesburg.

Jadeja Left Five Players Behind in this Matter

Jadeja has taken 259 wickets in Tests. He has played 62 matches so far. In terms of taking the most Test wickets, he has equaled former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie and Joel Garner of the West Indies. Garner took 259 wickets in 58 Tests and Gillespie took 259 wickets in 71 Tests. In this match, Jadeja left behind five bowlers simultaneously. He left behind West Indies’ Michael Holding (249 wickets), England’s Brian Statham (252), New Zealand’s Neil Wagner (253), West Indies’ Kemar Roach (254) and England’s Graeme Swann (255).
