IND vs AUS: Things are going from bad to worse for the Australian team in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. David Warner has been ruled out of the last two Tests due to an elbow fracture.

IND vs AUS: Warner was officially out –

Warner will return home to Sydney to recover from the injury. It is expected that he will rejoin the team before the three-match ODI series against India.

David Warner was hit on the left elbow by Mohammad Siraj during Australia’s first innings in the second Test played in Delhi. After two overs, his helmet was hit by a ball. Warner later felt a concussion and was replaced by Matt Renshaw as a substitute. Warner’s concussion was not a concern, but his elbow injury remained a concern.

Warner initially felt that the hairline fracture would be minor enough that he would be able to take part in the Indore Test. Warner stayed in India till Monday night and was trying to play in the third test. But after tests on his pain and range of movement, he was officially out. Warner will return home with his family.

IND vs AUS: Who will be Warner’s alternative –

The Australian team probably will not include anyone as an alternative to Warner. Cameron Green is fit to play in the third test. Green was seen practicing batting in the nets for the first time during the second Test. He faced Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc in the nets.
