IND vs ENG, 2nd Test – England made a big record: Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team has achieved a 1-1 draw against England by winning the second Test match by 106 runs in the five-match series.

IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: Jasprit Bumrah became man of the match :-

India returned to the series by winning on the fourth day in the second Test match of the series played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. India had set a target of 399 runs for England to win, in response the England team was all out for 292 runs in 69.2 overs.

Let us tell you that India had lost the first Test match played in Hyderabad by 28 runs, but took revenge for the defeat of the first Test by winning the second Test by 106 runs. The third test match of the series is now to be played in Rajkot from 15th February. Jasprit Bumrah, who took 9 wickets in the match, was chosen man of the match. Even though England lost by 106 runs in this match, they made a big record in their name.

IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: Big feat of England on Indian soil :-

This was England’s highest score in the fourth innings on Indian soil in Test cricket. Earlier, England’s best score in the fourth innings on Indian soil was made in 1964. Then England had scored 241 runs for five wickets in the fourth innings. This was only the sixth time when England has scored more than 200 runs while batting in the fourth innings in a Test match played in India.

The last time this happened was in 1972, when England scored more than 200 runs in the fourth innings of a Test match played in India. Then England won the test match played in Delhi by scoring 208 runs in the fourth innings.

Sri Lanka is on top in terms of scoring the most runs overall in the fourth innings: –

Overall, England is at second position in terms of scoring the highest score in the fourth innings among the teams playing Test matches in India. In 2017, Sri Lanka had scored 299 runs for five wickets while playing in the fourth innings against India and that match ended in a draw.

Talking about Visakhapatnam Test, India batted first and scored 396 runs in the first innings, in reply England team was all out for 253 runs. India scored 255 runs in the second innings and gave England a target of 399 runs to win. The England team was all out for 292 runs.
