IND vs PAK: Before the great match against India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday, Pakistan has suffered a major setback. Team’s top order batsman Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the match against India due to injury. Fakhar will now not be able to play in the T20 World Cup 2022 match against Team India.

Fakhar Zaman will miss the first match against India

Pakistan captain Babar Azam confirmed in a press conference on the eve of the match on Saturday that Fakhar Zaman will not be able to play in the first match against India. He said that he is currently going through the process of rehabilitation. This match between India and Pakistan will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Babar said, “Fakhar Zaman is not fully fit so he will not be available for the first match.” The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had revealed last month that while fielding during the T20 Asia Cup final in Dubai. Zaman suffered an injury to his right knee and is yet to fully recover from that injury. In place of Zaman, now left-handed batsman Shan Masood can be included in the team for the match against India. Masood has been declared fit.
