IND vs SA, 1st Test: After his brilliant century in Centurion, KL Rahul targeted them, gave a befitting reply
IND vs SA, 1st Test: KL Rahul completed his eighth Test century in the first Test match being played between India and South Africa. This century is so special because it came at a time when the fast bowlers of South Africa were completely attacking Team India. This century was at a time when India had lost 6 wickets for just 121 runs. It was only KL Rahul’s century that took India to a respectable score of 245 and brought India back into the match.
After this brilliant century, KL Rahul said:-
“When the injury happened and I was away from the game for a long time, I worked on myself and tried to get back to the person I am. I realized that I couldn’t be affected by these things and change myself. I would rather not change myself. It’s hard to stay true to my personality when there’s so much going on and that’s the hardest thing. But like anything there are ways to work on it. So when I Was out of the game, I worked on myself and worked on staying calm and taking care of myself.

Rahul further said:-
“There’s no point in expressing yourself on social media. People who want to say something will still say it. What I’ve realized is that in sports, if you’re in the public eye, your performance is what matters.” That’s the only way you can stay away from negativity. I try to focus on my game and performance. The more you stay away from these things, the better you will be.”
Today people are praising me but three-four months ago they were after me. It’s all part of the game but I wouldn’t say it doesn’t affect me.
